Important Printing Notice
What to expect from a DTF or DTG print versus your screen, and what to do if something isn't right.
What this notice covers
Every print job involves some natural variation between the file you see on a screen and the product that comes off the press. This notice applies to DTF and DTG orders — the two methods where that variation is most visible. Ordering a sublimation product instead? Colour
Screens are backlit and every monitor renders colour a little differently; fabric isn't backlit, and how much ink it absorbs depends on the material and its base colour. Expect a finished print to read slightly darker or more muted than it did on your screen — that's normal for both DTF and DTG, not a defect.
Placement
We set up every print by eye, for the best visual balance on the garment in front of us. If you need an exact position or size, tell us in the checkout notes, or by email or phone, before production starts — without those instructions we use our own judgment. We also don't automatically resize a design between garment sizes: the same file prints at the same size on a Small as it does on an XL, unless you tell us otherwise.
DTG pre-treatment
DTG requires a pre-treatment spray on the garment before printing, especially on darker fabrics. It can leave a faint mark or slight sheen around the print area, most visible at an angle or under bright light. That mark fades with the first wash — it's a normal part of the DTG process, not a flaw in your order.
Wash care
Turn garments inside out, wash cold, and avoid high dryer heat where possible — line-dry or tumble on low instead. This applies to both DTF and DTG, and it's the single biggest factor in how long a print stays vibrant.
How we check your artwork
We print from the file you upload, so its quality sets the ceiling on the result. Our standard is 300 DPI at print size — the same benchmark we hold every product in the catalog to. If a file comes in below that, we flag it before production starts rather than let it print soft or pixelated, and we'll follow up if we can't proceed as submitted. Once you've reviewed your file and mockup, our artwork approval step is what confirms we're clear to print.
